New York-based Northwood Investors wants to develop 670 acres in southern Gaston County adjacent to Lake Wylie. The proposal calls for 810 upscale homes on approximately one-acre lots as well as two commercial areas and a public park.
It would involve developing 670 acres of the Seven Oaks Foundation property east and southeast of Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, including some five miles of Lake Wylie shoreline between the South Fork River and Catawba Creek.
