I'm very interested in relocating to CLT within the next 8-10 months. I'm a single mom to a 9 year old girl and an HR professional. I wanted to get opinions on opportunities in HR in CLT and locations with good schools. I visited a few cities last April (Myers Park, Ballentyne, University) and they all were very nice. Would love to get feedback!

The answer would depend on you budget. Myers Park for example is one of the priciest neighborhoods in the city.

I'd rent for the first year so maybe between $1000 - $1400.

Ballantyne has better schools than the university areas, so if you could find something in your price range there, it would be good.

You might want to have the job lined up first. Our job market is dismal, at best...(of course you know that being in HR)...

It's all well & good to look, but if you get a job outside of Charlotte it might make some of those places very inconvenient.

Yes, I don't plan to move without a job.

Check out Linkedin and indeed.com.... I do believe that there is activity in that field in terms of openings in Charlotte.
