Anyone ever had a haircut from them? It's a school and I understand the students give haircuts under the supervision of a teacher, but I would like to know if anyone has any personal experience with them.

That's the only place I go to get my hair done. There has been times when I've gotten a color or highlights and been there from 9am-5pm on a Saturday. That part kind of sucks. I went there a week ago, and requested one of the "future professionals" because she was on a reality show & I loved her & wanted to meet her, haha. She was WONDERFUL. However, her instructor took over and did not give me exactly what I wanted, I was not pleased. I'm used to the haircut now, and I was only there for 3 hrs.

Make sure you know what you want when you go there, and if you have a picture to show them, that's ideal. Expect to have some time, especially if you're doing more than a haircut. Overall, based on all of my experiences I give them an 8/10. It's cheap, just not fast.

Thank you so much! I have read other reviews that mention the same thing as you - which is the time frame. This makes me feel better.

I have a groupon coupon for Paul Mitchell School to get a great deal on hair color & a haircut. Does anyone have any experience with how they do permanent hair color? Any tips to get the best student hairdresser?

And I thought you could make an appointment-- do you have to sit around all day for hours waiting to see someone even with an appointment??

My wife went there with a groupon for a haircut and color. They messed up her hair so much that she ended up going to another salon afterwards to get it fixed.

I've had decent experiences with them until the last time I went. The student cut my hair up over my ear on one side and the instructor tried to fix it and ended up cutting it differently on the other side, then styled it so I wouldn't notice until I got home... I have had an unintentionally asymmetrical haircut since then because I need to grow it out before I can get it cut again. I don't think I'll be going back...
