Hi everyone my name is Lindsey and my family and i have just moved to Matthews. I would be glad of any imformation to help us get settled.I need a recreational soccer club for my son who is 10,also somewhere he can continue with his drum lessons. I will need some other stuff too,but i don't want to ask too much at once,thanks very much.

I don't have kids but my coworker does and her kid loves the programs at the YMCA. There are a lot of them around Charlotte and they are quite nice.

Thanks,i'm not even sure what i'm looking for,we are actually from England and moved to Virginia in Nov 07.Then my husbands company got taken over so here we are in Charlotte! I'm still feeling abit overwhelmed with it all to be honest.Need Doctors/dentist and back surgeon to name but a few!

Oh, well then you need to know about Big Ben Restaurant & Pub. I've been going to McKee dental, it's very kid friendly also which is nice because I am a huge dentist chicken! It's across from Bi-low's in the same parking lot as the Siskey Y.

How funny,i was at McKee dental on Tuesday with my son and thought it was really good and now i have a second opinion on it will definately stay there.(i'm a chicken too,although not in front of the children!)We intend to join the y again and i am hoping that i will be able to find some new friends there,any other ideas for meeting people.Thanks again.

FYI you can buy several British items right here in Charlotte, including Walkers crisps in Mathhews.
