This thread is about what you would like to see come to Charlotte. Anything from events to stores/restaurants, to recreational activities.

I'll start by saying Charlotte needs a zoo!

Oh yeah, and I would also like to add a large destination aquarium in there as well! Maybe put a Ripley's Aquarium near the NHOF, along with a Hard Rock Hotel, and that section of Uptown can quickly become a tourist area!

A good outdoor market that sells everything from art to cookies to crepes to ice cream to seafood and meats. Make it a destination place for people in and around the city to come to every sat or Sunday morning. The 7th street market doesn't cut it. It's too small and arely anyone knows its even there.

Real neighborhoods with food establishments and greengrocers. Sidewalks and pedestrian crossings. Traffic rules enforcement. Car-free piazzas. Public transportation.

Enough (a) feeling like bowling pin whenever walking and (b) sitting at a sidewalk table and inhaling the fumes of someone idling the engine while yakking on the phone two feet from me.

As much as I'd love that, I don't think that's going to happen.

I think the current Park Road Park would make a good site for a zoo. This park, especially the lake, has gone way down hill over the past years and needs some sort of makeover. The land would be ideal for a zoo.
