I've done Stacks, Golden Corral, Americana. What else is good out this way on a Saturday morning?

I'm seeing more and more restaurants that have ditched their websites in lieu of Facebook, but post no menus. I've been to CP for lunch and found it very bland. But thanks for the suggestion.

I assume you already know about Cracker Barrel, Showmars and IHOP. If Jonathan's is still open, it was pretty good. It is over by Target. There was also some café that opened on 51 but I can't remember the name. Bella Sera or something like that.

CB, Jonathan's, and IHOP are pretty good. Never had Showmars for breakfast. I want something I haven't tried. Hmmm...

EDIT-Windsor Square Showmars doesn't serve breakfast. Grr...

Jimmie's Restaurant heading down 51 into Mint Hill sounds better than those other choices...

What makes it better than the others in your opinion?

If their breakfast is anything like their lunch, I doubt it.

This is my last check of the thread before I walked out. Jimmie's reviews aren't the greatest, overall. But I remember getting take out lunch from them a few times years ago, and the food was better than what the current reviews would suggest. Maybe something changed when the restaurant was handed down.

Jimmie's before they opened the store in Mint Hill, used to be one of the best places around to get breakfast. They've gone more upscale, as it were, and lost some of the quality IMHO. I really like Stacks and the 1/2 order of French Toast is outstanding - and you better be hungry because it's a lot of food. That with a sausage patty - Yummmm.
