We like the Waxhaw, (first), Weddington, Mint Hill areas. What higher end subdivisions or planned communities do you recommend? We are wanting new construction and are willing to build. $400-700k

Any high end town homes? We did see the ones that Wendy Field is doing off of Providence e.g. The Cottages on Providence. Or, high end town homes that are not city center??

Thank you!

Not sure I am clear on your response. Yes, for both new homes, subdivisions and town homes? or ???

Can you offer actual names or specifics? Forgot to add, that we are empty nesters so prefer maybe 'older' demographics. LOL

Thank you!

Have you looked into Millbridge in Waxhaw?
Carolinas, waxhaw - Millbridge New Homes for Sale - A Mattamy Homes Community

There's also Chatsworth, Drayton Hall Estates, Firethorne, Innisbrook at Firethorne, and Longview, all in Waxhaw.

I second Longview if you would want to golf and like to be part of club. Check out John Weiland neighborhoods in waxhaw (Weddington chase) and one on Johnston Road - not sure about the demography but certainly in your $ range. If you are willing to build there is one community being built on 12 mile creek road in Weddington/Waxhaw - its opposite to European style homes that are nice. In Longview, I believe toll brothers is still building starting lower 600's.

Thank you for taking the time to post and share. I will add your suggestions to my research list. Yes, we are quite willing to build. nvm re: Queen's Gate

The neighborhood on 12 mile creek is called Devonridge. The Millbridge community recommended in an earlier post is lower than your price range and is geared more towards young families.

Not sure if the pricing at Longview has changed, but they are probably at the high end of your range. Also, if you buy the Toll Bros. cottages, you must pay an extra couple thou a year for them to take care of lawn maintenance, which may or may not appeal to you.
