I'm new to Charlotte and looking for a church home. Please provide tips on churches that teach chapter by chapter & verse by verse of God's word. For example, my virtual church home is Shepherds Chapel. I would love to find a church similar to their teaching style. I prefer NOT to go to a church where "the holy spirit/ghost" is the focal point of the ministry; where dancing & fast paced music lasts longer than learning about the Word of God. Honestly prefer church that doesn't have a culture where people "catch" the stereotypical holy ghost. Any suggestions? Please include additional info about the church such as: age range, race, and any cultural information. Willing to travel

You might try a search. I know there is at least one thread about this.

Look for a Church of Christ denomination. It has the type of service your looking for.

Vizion Church in uptown is great. I know pastor Tyson personally and he is fantastic.

They are right near the Nascar Museum.

If Pineville is not inconvenient, you might want to try:

Living Vine Church

A small, but loving, congregation. Great teaching .

So are you looking for a church to serve you? Or are you looking for a church to serve?

Both. A church is null if it doesn't serve by teaching the Word of God and I will serve where I am fed.

The 10 largest Baptist churches in NC - Charlotte Religion & Media | Examiner.com

Few months old but good article. Not sure what part of Charlotte you are in, but Hickory Grove, FBC, and Bethlehem are very good church communities/homes. Especially if you have children.

I belong to a Church that matches all of your criteria.

We are not non-denominational or denominational - we are pre-denominational. If you attend service daily for a year you will study the Bible, "chapter by chapter & verse by verse", in its entirety. I can assure you there is no dancing or fast-paced music (we prefer chant). Nobody is "catching" the Holy Ghost and I'm pretty sure most members wouldn't even know what that means.

We are all ages, all races and all cultures (in fact, our name means Universal).

The best part about my Church is it was founded by Jesus Christ Himself, and He is truly present in body, blood, soul and divinity at each Mass!
