Walmart - when you find your bird like I did a 20#, at check out ask the clerk to run a price match. The register runs
a price check for the lowest available price and ...drum roll please. I got my House of Reaford bird for $7

My biggest issue with Walmart/Target/etc birds (and meat in general) is being grown artificially on hormones and being fed genetically engineered food.

Unless there is a specific description on packaging saying they are not, most likely this is the case - hence the low prices...

Well for next year or Christmas my recommendation is Whats Your Beef Butcher in Ballantyne. It's as natural as Earthfare's, costs 20 cents less per pound, isn't all shrink wrapped, not greasy, & local at that!

I may be late but I got a fresh butterball from Food lion. 9lbs for $12 the day before Thanksgiving. Hormone free. I need a small one..

Try the Fresh Market on Providence Road. Order ahead to get exactly what you want and when you want it. It's the best if not one of the best places to buy meat of any kind in Charlotte.
