Where in Long Island? We were in Plainview before we moved. My husband grew up in the Hicksville/Westbury area. I grew up in Westchester county.

I have worked at Wachovia for about 13 years (was with First Union initially). It's a great company; very team-oriented. From what I've heard, BoA is a more professional culture, more hierarchical and nose-to-the-grindstone. I have no first hand experience with BoA, though. Wachovia is known for being more family-oriented and relaxed. So depends on what you want.

If you have IT project management experience, or experience delivering retirement education I can definitely give you a lead!

We only lived on Long Island for about 12 years. I grew up in Queens and my husband grew up in the city and then Rockland County. Anyway, we first moved to Massapequa, then Port Jefferson, then recently from Hauppauge. My aunt and uncle live in Scarsdale but don't know exactly where.

I grew up in Massapequa, then moved out to Suffolk County. Now we'll be on our way to Union county. Our closing date is Nov. 30th.

mmdj43, how's it going? I'm going to send you a PM.

Small world! We are trying to relocate to NC.. Both my husband and I grew up in Queens. We have good friends in Massapequa and Happauge. I also spoke with a sales agent, don't remember what builder, and she grew up in Queens 2 blocks from my best friend, and her dad lives in Happauge. Hopefully someday we will be able to say we used to live in NJ.

I grew up in Astoria. Where in Hauppauge? We used to live on Sherry Lane which is off of Mount Pleasant. Nice area but was getting way too expensive with the taxes alone.

BTW, for all who are moving off the island to come down here, when you cancel your utilities, brace yourselves when you see your final bills. All of a sudden, our last bill was much higher than ever, based on their last reading. Not sure if this is done intentionally since we have no way to prove it since we're down here now. But if you do get a wacky bill, ask a former neighbor to check the readings on the meters. Really stinks when they have you over a barrel.
