The county has been divided long before the scribe came along. In this native's opinion, he's neither anti-native nor anti-farmer, he is however anti-bigot, how about you?

Hardly...Lessee Union County politics..You mean the one that oversees DSS? Maybe the one that outsourced running the Water and Sewer infrastructure to CMUD at a cost to the UC taxpayers almost double what it would cost to run it in house. Or maybe every county paving contract going to Boggs when there are lower bidders? How about that hospital deal for $51 mil and that money just suddenly disappears? Maybe it is the so called leader of the UC GOP who comes up publicly to say he isn't endorsing any candidate for BOCC, but in the back ground is throwing support to specific retread, good ol boy candidates? Was it the UC politics that we don't understand that rolled out that APO ordinance a few years back that was so badly put together, it wasn't worth the toilet paper it was written on? Oh and lets not even forget that $91mil that is ultimately going to have to get paid to the BOI.

Is this the UC politics that we are just too stupid to understand there Bubba?

The Scribe continues to take play after play from the the Saul Alinsky (Rules for Radicals), Rahm Emmanuel, Obama playbook. The playbook states to never let a good crisis go to waste. The "crisis" in this situation is redistricting, and he 1) continues to fan the flames of anger and 2) presents his candidates as the only HOPE for CHANGE. We start with the BOCC, with the slate of 3 and the We Can Make a Difference PAC. And just wait for it, there will be a slate of BOE candidates all backed by the Scribe and the same or similar PAC come the November election. The goal? Majority control over both the boards in Union County, with the Scribe pulling the levers. Sound like a new and transparent government, especially when we have the Scribe still going by his alias online?

So anyone who doesn't agree with letting western UC put in a majority to look out for only their interests is a "bigot" in your book? Interesting definition you have for the word.

Suppose they win? Then what? LOL They are going to be faced with exactly the same problems the current boards have. Out of control growth that is demanding services beyond what current tax collections will cover. They can't ignore the financial obligations and they can't ignore state requirements for providing education to every school age person in UC. If they do, the state will move in and shut them down.

IMO, let them have it.

I will take the over and also bet on another major redistricting in less than 5 years.

A very large property in the Marvin area is about to go on the market.

Not even close to what you said now is it? (I quote: "anti-native", "anti-farmer")

Nah we wouldn't want the westsiders telling us how we ought to be.. they just too uppity for us common folks..right?

Actually, maybe some of us are just tired of the good ol boys doing bidness down at the Brown Derby with a wink wink nudge nudge and proverbial brown paper bag passed under the table....

Alinksy..Obama..Emmanuel...that's pretty rich. The difference is the scribe makes people uncomfortable because he backs up what he says with facts..But in typical Union County politics, facts become secondary to rhetoric.

I find it interesting when sitting members of the BOCC are backed by developers & builders etc. that seems pretty okay to the good ol boys, but when somebody decides they have had enough of crony politics, now it is time to pull the knives out.

The scribe's mangy three toed house cat would do a better job than anyone sitting on either the BOCC or BOI.

You're referring to Aikmus, right? Everyone's hero trying to save the day? Fanning the flames, attending the prayer vigils, trailer man?

I'm no fan of the scribe, but this is politics 101. No one party owns this tactic.

Over.

Our first good look will be this fall for grades k-4, 6-7, and 9. The others will be skewed by the grandfathering. Focus on the elementary schools numbers.

Interesting. Aren't the large areas left mostly in the Marvin or Weddington town limits? i.e. Hopewell Farms?
