I just had a second cataract removed yesterday by Dr. Michael Rotberg an excellent opthamologist at Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Associates located on Fairview between South park and Park Road. I've been seeing him for more than ten years and enjoy my visits with him because he is such a fine human being as well as an excellent doctor. In his early 50's, he's a graduate of Haverford College and Duke Medical School. He is extremely kind and listens to his patients. He calls me in the evening to check up on me every time that he does a procedure on my eyes. I had the bandages removed from my eye this morning and came home to read the newspaper without glasses or contacts for the first time in 25 years! He will be out of the office next week, BTW. Telephone 704-295-3000. He also has an office in Matthews and has privileges at both CMC and Presbyterian. I like having a doctor at Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat because, as you can tell by their name, they can treat many different problems for both adults and children.
These are the people I go to as well. I've been seeing Dr. Sheffer for about 10 years now, and he's great. They have good hours of operation. The Randolph Rd one even has Saturday hours.
I usually go to the one on Arrowood (used to be on Tyvola), but I have been to the Randolph one for the saturday hours and wider selection of frames. There is also (or used to be anyway) a gorgeous blonde girl working in there.
We just spent 3 hours with Dr. Nguyen at Eye Optix Center on Arrowood today. She was AWESOME!! Excellent with all of my kids and the staff is great. My husband sees Dr. Levinson in the same practice and loves her too. Good luck.
