Checking on customer satisfaction for Charlotte customers of Essex Homes.

Essex Homes tend to be lower cost per sq foot than competitors, but the resulting homes appear to be in line with the industry standard quality levels.

In some other research done, Essex customers were nearly 100% satisfied with one common exception.

Time delays, long lead times, many missed dates. There even appears to be a 'careless' attitude toward contractual dates as well. This lack of timeliness is rather unusual in the home building business.

However, just looking for feedback regarding customer satisfaction of the Essex home live(d) in.

Default You got it exactly

Update:
Purchased an Essex home in Charlotte. Love it, would buy again, recommend to friends and family....just don't hold your breath

Good house, good price, good quality. Timeliness, or contractual timeliness is a foreign concept to Essex. Very good to work with, caring and professional....until you point out to them the 'date' they committed to. Very unprofessional, careless, and confrontational is the response with a large about of blame on you the customer, at any mention of times and deadlines.

Again, great house, good prices, very happy with my Essex home, would strongly recommend them to all friends and family.... just don't hold expect commitments with regard to their time to be met.

Like you we did our research, and got a flexible rental to live in...so could live with the 'lack of time' execution. And it still far surpassed anything we expected. But we were OK, being prepared and love our Essex home.

I agree, have never seen or experienced anything like it, regarding deadlines/time commitments.

Yes, I would buy again.

Essex builds a great home for the money. Builders missing close dates has to do with their subcontractor base. They should own up to it. Now you are aware of the time frame issues, I would plan accordingly and move forward.
