First off I will state that I am a plus sized woman. I am also getting married soon. I have never got a Brazilian/Bikini wax before but I would love to try it before my wedding. I actually want to get my legs as well. However, my issue is that I have heard that a lot of local salons/spas are a bit snooty and judgmental. Does anyone have any recommendations of somewhere in the Kannapolis/Concord/Charlotte/Huntersville area where I can go to have this done? I want to be able to feel comfortable since I will be baring all for this person. It makes me a little more nervous because I am not a smaller girl so I assume there will be a lot of crevices that will have to be done. Any serious suggestions (possibly from other plus size ladies) will be great! Thanks!
Head anywhere you wish. Suggestions include , Sona Med Spa , as well as numerous spa/sauna setups around town. Regarding your stature , I wouldn't concern myself with things of this nature , you would drive yourself insane worrying about things of this nature. I'd imagine several people would take recourse in waxing a 'real woman'.
I have had great experiences at European Wax Center! I go to the one in Huntersville (ask for Betheny!) but they have other locations (I know there's one at the Arboretum, and at least two more in the Charlotte area)! You can even get your first wax (bikini or eyebrow) free to try it out I can send you a referral email if you want!
With the off the wall requests they get, someone who is plus sized is not going to matter. As long as you don't want it dyed green, or the symbol to your car on it, trust me they don't care.
