It is government. It isn't unique to any one place. Where government is involved, there are problems. Trust me, I was in government contracting for quite a while. The federal government is a good example.

Charlotte has nothing to do with when 485 gets finished. Its a state project funded by the crumbs that the state tossed this way. The gov promised to have it started by the end of the year, but has no plans to fund it. I suspect it will still be 5-7 years before you see it done.

Now if they could just widen the stretch between matthews and pineville.

Default WE pay taxes in North Charlotte too

OK, who has sat on the parking lot called Eastfield Rd. from 4:30 - 6:30 pm every night? Will they ever finish I-485? What if we went to Raleigh in mass and stages a demonstration that we aren't going to pay our state taxes until we get the same roads like they have outside of Raleigh?
Have you driven over there lately and seen the second loop that goes around Raleigh or the wonderful four lane roads that run into the country with no one on them?
We are the biggest city in the state and we get do not get the proportionate amount of state highway monies put back into our infrastructure and I'm flat out tired of it!
I would be willing to help stage a sit in if others want to go and state our displeasure with how the taxes are dispersed!
It certainly didn't help when Pat McCrory lost the governor spot and the new lady sheriff in town decided to ignore us even more!
