I'm talking about Dan, being a very smart man, well educated, knows how government is supposed to work. Quite the contrast from the sitting City Council that has a hard time agreeing what to order for lunch breaks, that has a hard time sitting in the same room together.

So, business as usual. And lunch is a hard thing to decide on. (I apologize to the English teachers out there)

Observation:

Since McCrory left office a little over 4 years ago, Charlotte has had 4 mayors.
  • 2 resigned before their term was finished
  • 2 partisan political appointees
I'm reminded of a quote from Kevin Spacey's character in this season's "House of Cards". "democracy is overrated".

Really? There are plenty of other countries you could choose to move to since it is so overrated.

1 mayor resigned for a national position.
2 mayors were appointed according to the guidelines. You make it sound like some back door political arrangement.

But don't worry. We are moving towards an oligarchy at this point. That should please all the folks that think democracy is overrated.
