How ironic...I had never heard of Donato's until earlier today. I was thinking about flying to Columbus on skybus to see a BlueJackets game and saw Donato's on the BJ's site.

Try going to donato's site and looking up by location...you'll find the one in Waxhaw, a Charlotte burb. Most chain/franchise pizza is not very good and I have never heard anyone recommend this place in "the best of", so I wouldn't drive all the way to Waxhaw for it.

Default Donatos

Been about a month open now. Reviews are not good at this point. Usually need a couple of months to work out the kinks and break in the ovens.

I lived in Columbus (Reynoldsburg) and one of the kids worked at Donato's. Even if one isn't available in Charlotte, you will find about a million other places just as good or better. For one, the New York pizza apparently kicks ass so they say? I do remember Donoto's as being the first pizza place where I actually had pineapple on pizza.

They are opening one up off exit 25 in Cornelius/Huntersville by the new Petco and HomeGoods place-- it's going to be in the new shopping center behind the Target shopping center.

Never been to one, don't know what it is like. Anyone care to share? I doubt it is as good as Mellow Mushroom, we need them to come back to Charlotte

For anyone who lived in Columbus or somewhere in Ohio, Donatos is THE best, conveyer baked or not. We have driven all the way down to Waxhaw (from Lake Wylie area) every weekend since it opened. If you don't want to try it, don't. We former Ohioans don't care. It's just more pizza for us.

I hear the one in South Park is open now too!
