My wife and I are looking at relocating to the Charlotte Areathis summer from Boston. I will be transferringto one of my company's offices in the Charlotte area. My wife will be looking for an elementaryteaching position in the area. Anyadvice that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. She has her masters in Elementary Educationwith a certificate in Special Ed.

Do you know yet where specifically you will be living? That will influence where she might want to look for jobs. Obviously, there is Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, which are a mix of urban and suburban depending on the area of the city. There are several surrounding counties and depending on where you end up living, that will likely influence where she wants to look. I teach in CMS (high school) and I know there is usually demand for special ed teachers, but I'm not sure about that combined with elementary ed.

Good luck.

For high school, it would be great to be also certified in a subject area as well.
