Yes Cornelius is very safe. Heritage Green is good for families, although I don't care for the HOA. Everything is convenient. New construction is overpriced but there are some great values on resale homes, including ours which is on the market. We are $20,000-30,000 below Gandy.

Check Oakhurst too if your in the Area. Heritage Green and Oakhurst join together. Good Luck.

negative 3 because Totally agree with the above-- Cornelius is ridiculously safe. Thinking of moving there myself, have also been looking at HG.
Maybe Carolina Guy can answer this: I heard some rumors from people in the neighborhood that connects to Heritage Green (Glen-something, maybe Glenridge?) that some kids from HG have come over to their neighborhood causing trouble and even vandalising things. Have you heard anything like this?

Yes Glenridge is the name of the community. I have not heard this about the vandalising part. I have heard of them causing damage to the common areas while they skateboard etc.

No I haven't heard anything about this. Maybe it's the same kids breaking into garages around here. Btw, I'm gonna try to attend the HOA meeting tomorrow to hear how they will handle informing the residents of those 2 incidents. The ball is in their court; I hope they act appropriately.

I think that could be the NE corner of I-77 that some residents say stay away from.
