Looking for someone to test Popcorn ceiling for asbestos, and possibly scrape. Thanks!

When was the home built? Asbestos was banned in 1978 in home materials (ceilings, tile, etc). Also, it should have been declared when you purchased the home or noted by the home inspector. If it IS asbestos, you do not want to mess with it or "scrape" it. If its not friable then you might be better off covering it instead of removing it. It can get quite expensive because of all the precautions that must be taken and because it needs to be properly disposed of. I can suggest an Environmental Consultant if you are interested who can sample the ceiling and recommend steps to be taken. Send me a message if you want to take it that far.

Here is a fact sheet that you might be interested in:

I've had experience with a testing lab. We had our ceilings tested in January 2007. I've DM'd the OP. Anyone else can PM me if they also would like the name of the lab I used.

P.S. for newbies who may not know yet, you can find your DM's up in the top right hand corner, just under your username.
