Ok...as much as I love this warm weather, its not making me feel very Christmas-like. Anyone else feel this way? I mean once January comes bring on the 60's and 70's, I'm all for it. But 80 degrees in December seems to be out of place.

These temperature flucuations do occur in December. It'll be cold again in no time Our coldest temps and chances for snow seem to happen in January and February, sometimes even early March.

I fully agree. Can't wait to spend the next three weeks in Germany I am also surprised that so few people decorate their houses here... Probably b/c they aren't in a Christmas spirit either?

Don't get use to these warm temps. Weekend looks to be quite chilly. But no one can fool mother nature.

I just love this weather and if anything it puts me more in the Christmas Spirit.

With it warm you can enjoy outdoor Christmas activities more.
You can ride the Horse drawn Sleigh ride in downtown Lincolnton without shivering.
You can go to McAdenville or Tanglewood and enjoy the lights with the windows down.
You can do Christmas shopping without being burden down in Layers.

If it warms like today for Christmas it perfect weather for kids to enjoy their new bikes, outdoor toys and play football or other activities with their friends.
Great weather to get the kids out of the house so you can enjoy your brothers, sisters and finally get the TV off Dora The Explorer and back on a Game or Parade.

It has been this way for as long as I can remember, even in Connecticut where our winters are plenty cold and abundant. Xmas time rolls around and the spring weather comes. Should we start the debate about global warming yet??

the normal high temp in Charlotte is around 55-56. Its 25 degrees above NORMAL.

Don't worry everyone who like cooler weather, the normal high on Sun/Mon is looking to be in the upper 40's/low 50's....

I'm in NJ packing to move (Dec 27th)... its gray and cold. I feel as bad about the polar bears as anyone, but right now I am listening to Jimmy Buffet and wishing for a warmer climate :-)

I spent more than a dozen Christmases in Florida and the cold doesn't make me feel "festive " at all! I am really looking forward to some warmer weather in Charlotte.

It's normal for the South. It's also normal for the high to be 40 the next day. Enjoy - all 4 seasons in one week! (Also, it's Jimmy Buffett, unless you're going to that new all-you-can-eat restaurant).
