Default Ryan in Moss Creek

Our family just relocated from South Florida. We have contracted with Ryan homes in Moss Creek. I have read some negative information throughout the country about the workmanship. Can any one owning a Ryan home in Moss Creek please share with us your experience?

Well not in Moss Creek but I do own a Ryan home. No issues here except for the regular nail pops here and there. A couple of hours worth of work every year and they are gone. All orginal appliances(knocking on wood) still work great and the home inspector said that the foundation(crawl) footings were one of the best he had seen for a production home. My entire neighborhood was built by them and everyone seems very happy. In addition, I have several clients who have purchased new and re-sale Ryan homes and they have given good feedback as well.

Now there are some exceptions of course as with all builders. They are only as good as the sub-contractors they use to build. I'm sure there are negatives out there.

Cardinal Woods located right on the border of Pineville and the Ballantyne area. We are unincorporated.

I am also from South Florida & have a Ryan home, but not is Moss Creek, though I did look there. Though we have had some issues, their customer service is very good. This is the second home we have built, and this expereince was much more pleasant than our first one.

I am contemplating on purchase a to-be constructed home in Moss Creek and the building is Landis Reed. It would be appreciated if you can please share any information you may have regarding this developer (i.e. quality of their homes and overall experience working with them).

Thank you so much.

Read your contract which states no respresentations valid unless in writing. This means get everything in writing, even the smallest thing. Also read the section that says you only have 1 year to bring ANY claim against them in case of negligence or anything else - NO EXCEPTIONS. This is probably standard langauge with new construction but you should still be aware.

I have a Ryan Home built in 2007.

Is my home okay...I guess. Would I buy another Ryan home...hell no. I've had issues with HVAC, plumbing, and my roof. Of course they all occurred right after the warranty expired.

We bought a Ryan home last year (closed 9 months ago) and have had no real issues with them at all. Not a fan of NVR Mortgage (as I've posted before) but no issues with the house itself. We noticed a few minor things we missed at the 30 day walkthrough after the fact, but I stopped by the sales office and the project manager came out and took care of them with no hassle. No complaints regarding the craftsmanship or the quality of the house or with regards to the sales staff and project managers.
