Its a relatively new neighborhood (about 3 yrs old) with new homes being built by a Builder called Turnberry as well as some other custom home builders. Its a gated community. Schools are Antioch (Elementary) and Wedd Mid and HS for now. The price range is 600k to 1.6 M. The location is just up the street from the Weddington Swim and Tennis Club. The property used to be a nice horse farm
Hope this helps .

Thanks! Would you say its a nice area, safe neighborhood (yes, I know its gated but I guess I've read too much about the crime lol) and convenient to a lot of things?

Yes , very safe. Great area. Convenient to alot of shopping at the 485/ Providence interchange. If you are looking in that price range though - you can look at Therrel Farms and Skycroft and some other neighborhoods. You can get alot for your money and if its new Construction your after , Builders are offering many incentives and are willing to accept reasonable offers (read:Thousands off their asking price). Are you in town or out of state ?

We loved Skyecroft, haven't seen Therrel Farms but Skycroft is farther out than we want to be for school, work etc. In fact, we'd pretty much ruled Union County out for that reason until my husband came across Stratford Hall. He is already in Charlotte, the rest of us are out of state until we find a house :>)

Did you only want custom homes in gated communities? There are many options if you want to consider non-gated, or semi-custom. It is true what previous poster said, builders are more willing to negotiate prices inventory homes, which has resulted in much of inventory in some communities moving. The incentives are not so much for to-be-built.

I was just in Stratford Hall the other day checking out the new homes! They are offering something around 5.5% for a 30 year fixed mortgage for some of the inventory homes. The Williams Company is one of the builders in there. Here is a link to their website with info on Stratford Hall:

It's a nice small community but has no amenities, though as someone posted above, it is right across the street form the Weddington Swim Club. They used to include membership to the club if you buy a home in there. Not sure if they are still doing that, but I bet you could get them to throw it in!

Wow, thanks for the warning. The home we are looking at is actually built by the Iron River Building Group. But, we planned on looking at others in the neighborhood as well and that would include The Williams Company.

buyer beware,,promises promises all made but never kept.. look around and due your homework.
If you are already in the process, DO NOT close unless the house is finished, they will not come back.
