My husband & I are looking for a nice town with a good school system near University area of Charlotte as we have kids elementary school age. We can't seem to make a decision where to move too. Any input would be great. If anyone knows any good neighborhoods in Harrisburg, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Waxhaw or Wesley Chapel to check out check out- that would be great. Plus thoughts on commute & the town itself. We really liked Waxhaw ( but concerned about commute) & liked Briarcrest there. We also liked Summerwood in Mint Hill & Mirabella in Huntersville but I can't seem to make a definite pick on any of these. Any suggestions or info on towns would be great!

Harrisburg was high on our list however it really is divided by Highway 49 and we don't get much of a sense of community there. Fourth of July celebration really brings that town together though. Might consider Indian Trail, Matthews and that area as well. Union county schools which are comparable to Cabarrus county.
