I agree with Carolina Guy. It's actually a white collar, rich and yuppy city for the most part. That last photo is from 16th street though which is NOT a good area (obviuosly) and the rest of the photos could be from the same area..
Tucson is fairly trashy if that's what your asking. We have buildings that look like those above scattered all over. There aren't too many in a cluster per say, but they are prevelant. This town is dingy. I want to get out of Tucson and am thinking about Charlotte, but don't want to move to another craphole. By the way, where is this 16th street area in Charlotte?
Charlotte is a new vibrant booming city. I would suggest if you are looking for a place to live with a numbered street, stay between 10th and lower (Uptown) within the I-277 Loop. Not outside of it.
I don't know much about that area except that I wouldn't walk the streets at night. It's in the center of Parkwood, Plaza, 12th, and 10th streets. Does anyone know if this is an area that investors may buy up and make posh like they have in other areas?
16th street is roughly 10 blocks north of uptown. Uptown itself is pretty nice and safe. There is an artsy area at 36th st and North Davidson known as NoDa, but surrounded by areas like 16th st. Basically anything up to 9th street is safe and is uptown. There is no first street and 2nd strret is now MLK Jr Blvd.
Thanks. Is the cost of living in charlotte affordable with what what the average pay in NC is? I know it is expensive to live here in AZ and they don't pay anything. It is a constant struggle. Oh, and where is the uptown section of Charlotte? I can't locate it on a map.
