Are you for real?

I thought they were gonna open that leg by March 2008 and delay the final leg for yet another year.

Leave it to RALEIGH and it will never get done.

I heard that the NC DOT cut the funding for our (Charlotte's I-485 Loop) so they could give money to the Fayetteville Loop. Come on how. Fayetteville is small and I am sure that Charlotte needs it worse than Fayettenom!

It's exactly why we need private tolls. I was just in VA/MD last week in and out of Dulles International and think that entry/exit into Charlotte Douglas would be a PERFECT place for a toll system. Douglas is one of the busiest airports in the country and would generate beaucoups of revenue to get these roads completed. GovCo is OBVIOUSLY not working so now it is WAY PAST TIME to make some waves and do something about it!

Ridiculous.

As is so often the case in CLT, once it's finished, it's outdated.

Crazy.

I still love Charlotte though!

I suppose I am jaded toward what the powers that be do, regardless of what the people say.

Sure the light-rail passed, albeit how many times over budget?

My neighbor has been involved with this project since the original scouting and estimations. It is a fact that everyone on the inside knew the budget was grossly underestimated on purpose. I am NOT saying the politicians knew, I am saying some of the contractors. It is what it is.

Then the arena that we voted down twice is built anyway.
Now, Surprise! The NBA, except for a few teams, are just not doing well and taxpayers might end up helping fund an arena we voted against anyway. Twice.

Now to the subject at hand, think of the lanes around Charlotte that could be built with the train money.
