I need some serious advice. I am moving from NYC to Charlotte in the near future and need advice on decent neighborhoods. I will be working in downtown Charlotte and am looking to spend under $1000 a month for rent. I don't want to drive more than 45 minutes 1 way to work and low crime is essential.
Any suggestions ???

In the city or the suburbs? Apartment, condo, or single family home? Do you need schools?
