I agree 100%

You are trying to pick an argument with someone who is on your side, I fear.

The discussion earlier was about So-Cal Mexican. My point was if it didn't already exist in Charlotte, it's perfectly feasible that at some point in the future, it will. I never said there's no good Mexican food, authentic, Tex Mex or otherwise.

Do you feel that this is pertinent to this discussion? I have had some absolutely awful food in Boston. But, that isn't the point and gives no creditability to the point.
Yes, I do. I was giving an example of how you can find good authentic cuisine far from the region in which it was traditional, and as such, in Charlotte you can probably find a good selection of ethnic/regional food if you look. It wasn't a Boston vs Charlotte slam. It was just an example of somewhere I had great Mexican food that was nowhere near the Mexican border.

So, in your mind, Charlotte is stagnant and unchanging with 40,000 people coming to the area per years? That makes lots of sense. LOL!! This population explosion isn't new one either. Fourteen percent of the population of Charlotte is foreign. That blows your theories unfortunately.
No, I wasn't saying that. Again, you have completely misinterpreted what I said. My comment on stagnant and unchanging is that Charlotte is going through tremendous growth and change, but there are naysayers and grumblers who keep griping about the growth and change, and those who keep insisting that things suck in Charlotte and nothing will ever change and there's nowhere good to eat there. I do not believe this is the case and I am not one of those griping or complaining.

On this, we agree!

Ultimately, all I was trying to say is that if Charlotte is lacking in certain areas in cuisine, then I find it likely that with it's continued rate of growth, that those gaps will be filled and that more restaurants and eateries will open if that's what the Charlotte area residents (and visitors) are truly demanding.

Other than weather, ocean, and the USN, San Diego is not much different. Most people I have met from San Diego are pleased with their move. Keep an open mind and you will be fine.
Thats great to hear! I'm looking forward to that type of lifestyle and esp nicer people. Thank you!!

Foddies keep demanding more.
That's something I have to get used too. Living in SD you can drive 1 minute and your at a taco shop, grocery store, jack n box, subway, nail shops etc...everything is right there..The one thing I've noticed about Cali is that everyone Yelps..NC not so much.

If gives people more time so spend with family. People spend more time with family, church etc. Dont know if you know anyone that live in LI and commutes to the city. Now thats a fast pace life. on a 5:20 train to the city back by 8 time to pat your kid on the head and get to bed for the next day. its a grind compared to here.
I commute 30mins to work and 1 hour and 30mins back home. To me, thats not that bad but living in LA is much worse.

I don't think there's any good Mexican food other than SD, the further you are from the border the worse it gets lol. I live 30mins from the border so I know good mexican food. I love In n Out, glad to know they have it there.
