I noticed that North Carolina city data leads all forums of city data with the most threads with over 20,000. Charlotte, with almost 7,000, has more threads than most states do including all of California. So, I want to ask what do ya'll think is the reasoning behind this? I thought this might be a fun post....

I say it's because NC, in particular Charlotte, is one of the most desirable places to live in the country, which can otherwise be backed by the influx of transplants. Can we also say city-data forums reflect this?

I think it's because there are very nice, helpful people on this forum, and the quality and quantity of the existing posts encourages curious people to ask questions. Even when posters ask questions that have been asked a zillion times, the people here are courteous and try to help.

Southern hospitality, if you will...

And of course there's credit due to the excellent mods we have here. I'm horrified by some of the things I've seen get by on other forums.

I agree. I visited some of the states I left, and some of those threads are nasty and downright belligerent! Or whiney, at best. There's a reason why I'm here, and so far, we think it's all good. Some of the posts out there makes me wonder why the moderators have let them go as long as they have!

I should have changed my username to SouthernBelle!
