DONT_FALL is on a distinguished road
The City has invested a lot of money in the area already. Several years ago the City put money into an Eastside and Westside strategy plan. On the east side several roads were improved including two around the mall, Albermarle had a streetscape project and
Central Ave had work also. Some of these projects are complete, the work along Central near the mall is ready to begin construction soon. CATS has also put money into the area with the new transit hub at the mall. This work is was done to spur developement activity for the area. There has also been many millions of City dollars invested in the neighborhoods projects in the areas around the mall and along Central Ave.

Here's a list of current projects underway in Charlotte.

Isn't there security patrols at the Mall?
If the Mall is as dangerous as people say then why not have a good security patrol to keep the crime out?
Just curious.

It's not as simple as that This is a dying mall, half of its tenants have abandoned it, the ones that are left aren't attracting too much business. The whole area needs revitalization.

Thank you, LovesMountains, for the explanation.
It's sad when nice areas are taken over by criminals. Truly sad.

To clarify - the whole mall area, meaning the mall property
