Hey Everyone!! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. My fiance and I just moved here a few months ago and do not know of any good restaurants to go on New Years Eve. We're looking for something nice and semi fancy but not too expensive. If any one has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. We were thinking in the realm of Italian or steakhouse. Thanks in advance!!

There are actually probably too many to choose from. The board has been slow due to the holidays. What part of Charlotte did you want to be?

Villa Antonio, Table (probably too expensive), Village Bistro and then the places like City Tavern, Carabba's all down around Blakeny and Stonecrest. Check www.ballantynevillgae.com (broken link) I really don't know of any steakhouses real close to Ballantyne that I can think of.

131 Main is another. Avoid Encore...we ate there Christmas Eve and thought it was well below par--mediocre service, mediocre food, bland atmosphere.

I went to Encore when the Checkers were doing a fundraiser there a year ago. That was fun, but the food isn't great and they have received not one but a few sanitation grades in the 80s.

We enjoyed Providence Bistro when it was there, but now it's something else. Nikko's is a good Japanese/sushi place too.

Been to Nikko's on S. Blvd. and it was awesome! Didn't know there was one in Ballantyne. Great atmosphere and well above par sushi. SAKIIIIIIIIIIIII BOMB!!!
