Carmel Ob/Gyn? (Charlotte: obgyn, home, high school)

Any experiences with the Blakeney office?

I don't know much about the Blakeney office but Doctor Phillip Solomon was my ob/gyn when I was pregnant a number of years ago. In fact, I was his first patient in Charlotte!!!! This was when they were over near what was then Mercy South.
He was great and I also saw Doctor Megremis who was also good.

sorry i can't tell you much about their new location but I can recommend them as ob/gyn's

I used to work for them. Dr. Meek is excellent and Dr. Barnes (female) always had people waiting to get in to see her. Solomon is excellent. Out of all of the doctors, Megremis has the worst bedside manner. He needed to retire 10 years ago. He can be pompous. My friend went to him and he delivered her daughter and he really had no bedside manner. Made her husband feel stupid for asking too many questions. He's a good doctor, but no personality. The others are great though. This was at the Carmel location

I went to Blakeney.. very nice. I don't like them as much as my obgyn from back home but they office is very modern and the staff was pretty nice. I did hear good things about Dr. Barnes and I may try her next. I saw Dr. Solomon. If I have children I may switch though b/c they don't deliver at the CMC main and I heard that was were you want to go esp. if there is an emergency.

Dr. Soloman has been my OB for 3 out of 4 of my pregnancies! He is the BEST OB I have ever been to. I agree that Megremis has NO bedside manner. In fact, I despise seeing him. Dr. Meek is fantastic too and Dr. Barnes is ok.

Just another one of Dr. Solomon's patients here to say I think he's wonderful. It's true about Dr. Megremis, BUT he delivered by friend's baby and his skill with forceps saved her from a C-section.

I'm a patient of Dr. Meek - and I wouldn't go to any other office. I've been a patient of Dr. Meek since high school - he was my first doctor and in the past few years I've decided that he is the Doctor I know and trust and he is who I want to deliver my children when the time comes. And his nurse Jenny is very kind.

I am looking for a female Ob/Gyn in Charlotte area. I am not comfortable seeing male doctors. Can anyone recommend anyone?
