It depends on what side you look at it.
Charlotte is leading in Financial and Atlanta is leading in the Film industry. With shows such as CNN, and every Tyler Perry TV Show and movie, Atlanta leads in that.

Overall, Atlanta has the larger economy. That's not a debatable point.

Correct. It's not even close. Atlanta is one of the richest cities on the planet. Worth more than Miami or Seattle and creeping closer to Boston. Atlanta's GDP is $307 Billion while ours is $139 Billion. So, putting it plainly, we would need 2 of EVERYTHING we currently have (BOA, Wells, Chiquita, NASCAR, Lowes, Family Dollar, Sonic, ect.) and then another $30B on top of that. It's not even close.

No, economy and Finances are 2 different things. How is the 2nd largest bank in the US and 4th largest bank in the US going to have a lower GDP then Atlanta, a city with no financial companies.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
But seriously I am not sure how to even respond to that.

Good info, quite frankly, I didn't know Charlotte was that high on the list. Wonder why the ATL has a significant gap or lags so far behind its peers (Dallas and Htown).

What you are talking about has no relevance to what is being discussed here. GDP has nothing to do with a bank's total assets. And also those numbers for BoA and Wells are in the trillions.
BoA and Wells Fargo are enormous corporations that spread throughout the country. Wells Fargo isnt even headquartered here. This is irrelevant information to any conversation regarding the economy of Charlotte, or the state of North Carolina as a whole.
I love Charlotte, but it is not on the same level as Atlanta economically. It is not even close.
