I would maybe tweak the (I think) current slogan of "Charlotte's got a lot" to something like "Charlotte's got a little bit of everything."
While there may not be an abundance of everything one might be looking for, I think there is at least a little bit of most things people look for, or you can at least get it without driving real far.
The OP, like many threads critical of Charlotte, mentions places like NY and Venice. But Charlotte isn't NYC (or Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Tokyo, London, etc). And most people are fine with that.
Looks like Charlotte ignored my suggestion and went the opposite way. Interesting to see how that's going for them right now. We just lost PayPal, wonder what other businesses will follow.

That's due to NC state law, not Charlotte city policies.
