There are a lot of rental homes there. It's a very safe area (Cornelius) and adjacent to two other very friendly neighborhoods, Heritage Green and Oakhurst. Some of the homes need a lot of work but that could be a nice project for some people because selling prices are so low. Of course, your resale may not be as high because of what has happened in Glenridge. At any rate, if you're looking to get a lot of house for less money and don't mind fixing some things up, it's not a bad gig. I personally wouldn't buy in there because of the poor investment opportunity. But again, very safe and family friendly.
