If you don't mind me asking, if you live within an HOA, how much is the fee?? Please state if the fee your posting is yearly, quarterly, monthly.

I have lived in communities where fees ranged from $400.00 a year to $400.00 a month. Right now I don't live in an HOA, but I probably will once I move to Charlotte.

This topic has been discussed before, but anyway, we pay $54 per quarter.

There are still plenty of communities where there is no HOA. I live in one and after reading all the horror stories on this site would not want one.

I would not want to live in a neighborhood without one because when a horror story neighbor pops up there, there is NOTHING you can do about it.

The good generally outweighs the bad with HOAs
