If there are no trained or trainable workers available in the U.S. THEN outsource to wherever. Period. Like it is with so-called foreign aid, let's take care of our people in this country and THEN think...repeat, think about helping countries that don't spit in our face. Period.
Yes, they outsource but they are also big users of H1B visas so some of those tax dollars will also likely go workers who they will import temporarily...
Why should Tax Payer money be used for these kind of operations.. shipping jobs to offshore and on top of that using resources from other countries (They have 30,000+ employees in US and 20,000+ out of them are on Visa).. TAX PAYER MONEY can NEVER be given to this Company.

Correct. We can't get jobs in foreign countries unless they can't get anyone in their country to do the job. The difference is that the visa people here are hired as cheaper labor than a US national. Using tax money for this company is an insult to everyone including people who are here on visas.
I suppose the 1487 already employed in Charlotte and the additional 500 in NC are all bots, while the actual humans are in India.
You don't understand how these companies work. They skirt the laws. Visa people are brought in at cheaper wages than a US national would be paid on the excuse that no US national can be found. They don't really try to find a US national.
Just read these and you will get a ton of info on how these Indian IT Companies operate.

there are numerous articles online on how these companies abuse US Work VISAS and falsely procure Green Cards too in some cases. I am willing to bet that the proposed job they have said they will be bringing to charlotte will be cheap IT workers on H1B visa , 99.99% of whom will be from India.
I agree with the posts above that the taxpayer money should not be wasted on these companies. Rather it should be spent on bringing manufacturing jobs.

Just a note: we can't "bring" manufacturing jobs here when the factories are not only shut down, but their equipment was long ago sold to other entities in other countries.
We no longer have the infrastructure to support opening the doors of manufacturers who sold out to overseas operations or went bellyup, i.e., textiles and furniture (and in many cases, steel-related industries such as shipbuilding, as well).

Sorry Ani, But I disagree here.
Most of manufacturing needs updated equipment to stay competitive, so equipment is not really an issue. Plus we'd need high tech manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, power generation, machine/equipment builders, etc) that required highly skilled people, so they will be paid above middle class wages.
Unfortunately at present there is a lack of highly skilled technical people and it is getting worst with more of them retiring than training...
Manufacturing is the most important sector in my view since it is mostly self-sufficient and provides the necessary support for this country future (defense, technology advancement, etc).
