I currently live in Fayetteville, NC but my boyfriend will be returning from a deployment in Iraq in late March and we're talking about moving to Charlotte over the summer. We aren't living together so I need some advice on affordable, but credible apartments in the area. I'll possibly be going to a dental assisting school in Mooresville as well, and was wondering if anyone knew the general distance from Charlotte to Mooresville (about how long it takes to drive there). Please, I will take any advice! Thank y'all so much!

I would suggest you live just North of Charlotte. Like Huntersville. You will be 1/2 ways between Charlotte and Morresville. 15-20 minutes to either city from Huntersville.

GOOD LUCK!

Default time estimate

I live in Mint Hill, less than 10 min. from 485 and my family lives in downtown Mooresville. When we visit we take 485 and go the back roads into Mooresville (past DEI, INC) and it takes about 45 min. - 60 min. this is without any traffic. Keep in mind that the back roads are two lanes and they have lots of turns, so you have to drive carefully. It's a beautiful drive though. I would suggest the University area where rent prices vary or even the Harrisburg area which is great because it's Cabbarus Co. Try to find something that is close to the Hwy. I would stay away from Huntersville, it's pricy. And, I wouldn't count on 77 as the main road for commute because it is always backed up, both ways. Good Luck.
