I know there were previous threads on Millbridge, but I'm just looking for an update. It seems to be selling very slow (as most areas). Has anyone actually purchased there and when are you moving in? How has your experience been with your builder? We like some of the Ryland Homes there and it looks like it is going to be an awesome community. I would appreciate any feedback. BTW, we know about the shooting range and it's really not a huge issue for us. Thanks!

Funny you should post this b/c we are in contract with Centex to buy a home in Millbridge. Being that we are here in NY, it is hard to keep up with how things are going down there. We last visited in October and we've been wondering how sales are going. I've been watching the available houses and it does seem that sales are slow. I only see a couple that are under contract. 2500 homes seemed very ambitious and we've been wondering if that number will change now that home sales have slowed down. With that said, we were very happy with Centex and our rep, but she has left the company and we've only spoken with the new reps by phone which has been a major concern for us. I hope sales pick up because it does look like it will be a great neighborhood with lots of amenities. Our home is supposed to be ready July/August, but of course, we are trying to sell our home here and that process is not going well so far. Have you been there recently, and if so, have you noticed residents moving in? We had been told the first families were moving in in November. Good luck with your search!

We are in contract on a home to be ready this summer and we really liked what we saw there. Any reason in particular(other than the real estate market in general) as to why it's selling so slowly?

Hey all!

I was under contract with Mattamy for a home in Millbridge. I did it on a contingency, and before they started, I backed out. The reason I backed out was because of the fear of my house not selling... the typical reason I guess.

I am in the business, and I am friends with the sales consultant there at Mattamy. From what I hear from her, there is not alot of marketing going on from the developer side. Basically the builders pay the developer a certain amount of money for advertising, and I know my friend is upset about the lack of traffic there. There is not a lot of signs/directionals due to sign issues etc.... so I guess lack of advertising is the big concern. And I know the builders are worried about it.

I did so much research on that community, and I can tell you, there is nothing wrong with the community at all. I love it there, and as soon as my DAMN HOUSE SELLS ;-)... I will most likely look into their inventory homes.
