About the $350-425k range. Work in Uptown. No kids yet, but on the way.

Thoughts?

Ballentyne. As much as I like Highland Creek (it is really nice), your commute will be harder. At least to get to Ballentyne you have more roads to chose from depending on where exactly you need to go from uptown. Just FYI though, staying "inside" 485 would be an even better commute and staying inside hwy 51, the best.

How long should I expect from both places on a good/bad day? If the commute were not an issue which would you prefer?

Commute from Ballantyne would be about 45 minutes during height of rush hour. It's mostly bottleneck because of 485 still being two lanes. Feel free to PM me for more info or if you would like to take a look at some houses You'll be in "my neck of the woods" for sure!
