My primary care physician has left and I need to find another doctor inside the Carolinas Healthcare System. I'm middle-aged female and would like someone who is good, open-minded and not a drug-pusher (meaning I don't like to be prescribed something if a more holistic option is available). I live in Weddington and would prefer to find someone in Union County. Any suggestions?

Dr. Dino Kanelos at Carolina Family Healthcare, but he is now up at Stonecrest (he closed his office in Weddington a couple years ago).

Thanks, BBB! I'm trying to confirm that he'd be covered under my Coventry Carolinas Healthcare System Plan. It's weird because Coventry doesn't list him as a provider when I do a search through their site, but I do see him (at his old address) when I do a search directly through the Carolinas Healthcare Systems search page.

I called his office and learned they are ending their relationship with Coventry health care plan system effective May 1 -- unless something can be worked out.

Our Primary care that we loved in Blakeney left medicine. :-( We are looking too! Good Luck. Let us know if you find someone great.

We currently go to Carolina Family Healthcare. We started going there about 10 years ago (originally in the Weddington office). A nice group but we are looking for a smaller practice (and would be willing to travel further).

Shhhhhh!!!!! I'll never be able to get in to see him if everyone knows about him!

In all honesty, he's the best doc my wife and I have ever had.
