Sterlings Restaurant
Has anyone ever tried this restaurant in the Fountains Shopping Center? My wife and I have been there a few times and it has been awesome every time. I'm not quite sure what to think about it though, since it never has a crowd.
In this boards never ending search for great non chain restaurants in Charlotte, Sterlings is one that I think I should mention.
It has a great menu selection with just about anything you could want in a fine dining restaurant (seafood, pasta, steaks etc...). The prices seem to have come down a bit from when we first went so every entree is reasonably priced and it is very well decorated so it made for quite a nice evening with my wife.
I wanted to post this so people could check it out, their website is below

Have been to Sterlings on a few occassions and you are right, no matter what time we are there, never seems to be a crowd. The food is always good and service is up and down but we enjoy it.
We did try the new BrickTops Restaurant over in Specialty Shops in Southpark tonight. Food was very good and service was the same. Was nice that they would split meals for us and serve everything on individual plates. Even gave full portions of sides to each of the split meals. Owned by the same company that owns Houston's Restaurant.

We were just not aware of Sterlings. Now that you have pointed it out, we will try it. I checked out their website and I liked what I saw.
Thank you so much for sharing this info! I would hate to see a good restaurant close . . . just b/c traffic wasn't there . . .

Sterling's is a really good restaurant and the owner is a super nice guy. I don't know him personally at all, but I have gone in there looking for charitable donations for an organization I deal with, and he has been so kind and generous with the donations he has made. I really hope they do well!!

That's the problem!!! People don't know its there. It's kind of tucked back in the corner but you honestly should try it! it breaks my heart to see people lined up at a Chilis or Outback and there is great, non chains out there like this place.

I've eaten there and we enjoyed it very much. They have a good wine selection as well.

Sterling's First Class Dining in Ballantyne/Blakeney
I love that place! I don't care about the price! I've eaten there many times and I don't have one single complaint. And I'm very picky!! The food is awesome. Maybe the prices were keeping others away but now the lower prices will invite them in. We don't have to drive to Southpark or Uptown to get first class dining anymore. We've got it right here in Blakeney/Ballantyne.

This website has a couple not well known restaurants, including Sterlings, that I am curious about. There are so many, how do any stay full of customers?

My daughter worked for Bill Nixon at Sterlings when it first opened. It is a fantastic restaurant which I agree is worth mentioning.
The problem is that the location is secluded and not many people are aware that Sterlings, as well as some other wonderful shops, which include Studio Flowers which has a great gift shop and very talented florists, Palones Pizza, Mud Pie, another great gift shop and there is also embroidery available, Simply Sweet a chocolate lounge, Switchin' Kitchens where you can buy already prepared meals that you just pop in the oven, and other boutiques and offices, are there. It is really a destination location with not a lot of walk in opportunity.
So, guys, spread the word. I'm sure Bill and the other owners of these shops would be thrilled to have some great word of mouth advertising!
