Your goal for this year is to treat your loved one to McNinch House. Now, make it happen. No excuses for anyone on this thread to not be able to experience this fine dining - NONE.
Hard to take any restaurant serious that doesn't offer a first growth on their wine list!

Of course....don't take them serious. I was introduced to MH by George Shinn in the 80's and you may be surprised to know that Michael Jordan patronizes this place as well. I guess many well to do people, like you, are extremely concerned about first growth wines. I can appreciate that, so do not go to MH it will be a total waste of your time. And...just so you know, they do not offer French service for the real food critic.

Ah that must be some world that you live in, where you have to come to an internet forum to brag about your successes in life. I was simply making an observation that for such an acclaimed restaurant it lacks on the wine side. I've never claimed to be well to do, but I have worked in some of the finest restaurants over the years, and I'm a sommelier, so this is something I have some knowledge on. Their wine list is lacking with holes everywhere. Perhaps being in a house they lack the storage space.

I've never dined there, and have no desire to. Quite frankly as a restaurant they have jumped the shark. Some proof of this is the groupon being offered. New American Cuisine - McNinch House | Groupon Never a good sign when a long time restaurant starts offering these. Do it for too long, and something is going to suffer before long food starts to suffer. They will hold on I feel as there will always be people wanted to say I dined in the most expensive restaurant in the city.

If I'm looking for expensive chef driven dining Heirloom gets my vote. Really a great concept, and being that everything is local makes it even more special. But if you want DOM or Cristal bring it with you, as everything comes from NC, including wine and liquor.

It's amazing what you get for the price at epic. Is it the best restaurant in charlotte, no, but it is one of the best values. Same people started mickey and mooch, and they have chill fire grill in denver. They are no longer with mickey in mooch, and imo that's one reason why they have suffered.

LOL, I'm not buying any of this. I'm definitely feeling you've never set foot in the place.

exactly As soon as he seen my post this morning he was googling first growth wine. He tries to be an expert about everything, and anyone that has to come to an internet forum to brag probably isn't that successful
