I have to go to the DMV this week to renew my license. It is my understanding that I can go to any location. I live in Waxhaw.

Is there a location I should go to that would be quicker than the others? I know some of the locations get very backed up.

I tried to make an appointment, but every time i called, the line was busy.

Is the best time to go first thing in the morning?

Thank you for any advice and suggestions.

The Monroe location off of 74 near Bob Mayberry Hyundai is not usually bad mid month.

Make an appointment. I was in and out in 6 minutes for the standard renewal with no points issues or other potential slow downs.

When we moved back to Charlotte we went to the DMV I Huntersville. It's close to Northlake Mall. WE was in and out in less then 10 minutes with no appointment.
