We have the light rail service in Denver and enjoy using it to go downtown on weekends.
If we end up in south Charlotte we'll definitely use the service there.

Default High schools

I'm also looking in the Huntersville area? How are the high schools? And are there neighborhoods that would be better for a family with high school kids... 4bd/2ba under $250,000. Thanks

Unfortunately, this is true. Leaving 2 hours in the morning, and one slim hour in the afternoon of merely crazy traffic.

The earlier the better when driving from Birkdale to downtown.

Huntersville has good express bus service to the area you're working if you want to avoid gas and parking costs uptown. The park and ride is very close to Birkdale Village.

I am surprised to see the hours of 6-7 being classified as rush hours. I am on the South Side and my experience has been if i get into town by 7am i run into very light traffic.

To put in perspective a 6:00 departure time is about 25-30 mins to cover 19 miles - 6:30 departure around 40 mins - 7:00 is an hr +- 10 mins (summer is a little better).

I would also add this is not a tough ride either - people do not blast horns or weave in and out of traffic (Just keep an eye out for the busses).
