I am looking for a picturesque place to shoot Sr. pictures. I would love a natural setting (flowers, trees, pond, brook, maybe a covered bridge, etc.) and also a location to do city-scape shots (skyline in background, maybe an interesting building, etc). I would appreciate any suggestions. I am in Waxhaw, so the closer the better, but we can drive anywhere. Thanks.

Not near Waxhaw, but Freedom Park would be nice for a natural setting. Maybe the (relatively) new Romare Bearden Park Uptown would combine both a natural setting, and an a cityscape.

Look into Cane Creek Park. Also this keeps showing up in my feeds but not certain of the exact Waxhaw location but looks like a photogentic place. Too bad to early for Crepe Myrtle shown on the side to bloom.
(Please note, its illegal to be on tracks especially if its very active)

There are some nice places in the Ballantyne office complex (not exactly sure of the exact name) at the intersection of Johnston Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway. There are a few little lakes in there, pretty bridges, etc. I've seen several families having pictures taken there.

Thanks, It looks cool, I assume its active, love to visit when the Crepe Myrtle bloom. I like the winter snow shots Im seeing of this structure.

Its a Senior Picture, something local like this, would be cherished more later in their later life rembering the hometown or choose a favorite hangout.

Thank you all for your responses. I like all of the ideas! I'm close to Cane Creek Park, but I have never been there. I never thought about the downtown Waxhaw bridge. That's a nice idea. Ballantyne, the two parks uptown all great ideas. Thank you!

We had our family and Sr portraits done at Dixie Dreams in Monroe. There is an ole timey cabin as well as a clear running river. Beautiful natural setting.
