This neighborhood is in northwest Charlotte. It's elementary school is Mountain Island and it does pretty well on test scores. I believe the community there is pretty happy with it as their neighborhood school. Things get rougher with the middle and especially the high school I'm afraid. But if your kids are young a lot could happen between now and high school - so don't rule it out if the area is to your liking.
