Table in Ballantyne. Not a big fan of the Melting Pot. Who wants to go out for a special occasion and spend an exorbitant amount of money to cook your own food? Get a fondue pot and you can do that at home.

Hey! There is a GREAT new wine bar in Ballantyne area - it's called Vintage in the Toringdon Village. Their chef is FABULOUS and can do something special just for you and yours - call them and ask!! The food is out of this world and the wines are fabulous. They also have music there on certain nights.

Villa Antonio - ONLY go to the one on South Blvd.

Firenze in the Piper Glen shopping center has the most authentic Italian I have had since I got back from Italy this past summer - INCREDIBLE!!!! - Also, great atmosphere!!!

if you really want to impress her, take her to Bentley's on 27th uptown, that will really show her she is special, similarly priced to Villa etc, but great ambiance, call ahead and arrange for a special corner table with great views, make sure they are not having an event the night you are going out

That place looks awesome. Welcome to Bentley's on 27 - A Visionary Dining Experience. I'd say it's slightly more than VA. I have only been to the VA on Sooth Blvd and it's good but I don't think it's as good as everyone says. Had a somewaht bad experience last time we went there as a group (about 20 ppl) so that sucked. I mean we were spending a lot of money in there and they were butts.

Try Pewter Rose in Charlotte. Really good food and great wine list. Good ambience, too!
