We're looking to move to the UNC Charlotte area. Specifically either Birkdale Commons Parkway or Parthenon Court.

Is this a "safe" area?

How about shopping (groceries)?

How bad is it having interstate 85 in the back yard (sort of)?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Seriously.

Thanks.

UNC Charlotte area is called "University City" and some parts are ok and some not. As far as having very busy 8 lane I-85 in your back yard...noisy!

I would suggest that you live WEST of I-85 and NORTH or Harris Blvd. That is a better area of University City.

Birkdale Commons is in Huntersville and a great area.

BOTH have plenty of restaurants and shopping!

GOOD LUCK!
