My fiance and I are considering a move to Charlotte from South Florida in order to find a better school district, a house w/ a yard, and lower insurance. We want to start to build a family and being originally from Buffalo, NY, I want a place where family values are still intact. What areas are the safest, good schools, and still can have a yard to play in? Our budget really isn't an issue being that we both make over 100k/yr. Also what areas should we stay away from? Thank you for all your help and advice!!!

Agree with CharlotteAgent -- you have many options. So you need to PM him to look at houses in Lake Norman area and me to look at South Charlotte/Union county I would look at both areas and see which you prefer.

You really need to check out Cabarrus County as well. Great schools, commute into Charlotte is not bad, homes in many price ranges, low taxes, and very safe.

I am fairly certain she will have to be licensed in NC.

Here is the Board of Nurses website:
North Carolina Board of Nursing

It would be certainly be worth a quick call or an email.
